summer jam

I realize it's cold, grey, and raining here in Brooklyn, but the calendar swears summer's on its way. This raises the all-important question: what will this summer's jam be? You know, the song that will infect car speakers everywhere, the song that will shoot to the top of TRL the day it's released, the guilty pleasure that the hipsters will actually dance to once they've drunk enough Sparks at the BBQ. Does anyone have a long-range forecast on this? Will Justin Timberlake be involved? Inquiring earholes want to know.

It's so funny I posted that because earlier this morning at the store I had to host Mr. Ron Perlman(managed Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, LFO) and his newest boy band- "US5". It was tough not to lunge out and stab him with a ballpoint pen. Half of his new band is German and they looked like a carbon copy of NYSNC. So sad.

And the closest boyband cover we would ever do would be The Monkees.

I don't know but I think fergie's kind of a butter face. she kinda looks sweaty faced & overly made up but from the back she looks fantastic. I'm harsh, aren't I?

so mary, which one is it? dance with me? cry me a river?

& george what about that il divo shit?

I hope that it will be "Technologic" from Daft Punk, just as "One More Time" and "Da Funk" were summer jams at one point. I doubt it will happen this time around, but, then again, there is that Ipod commercial. Maybe Annie will suddenly blow up Kylie-style. Maybe the new Royksopp will drive everyone nuts (particularly if the album is as good as the single). Nah, it will probably be something I don't like.

Even Geri?
George called it on the BSBs, I just saw the video for their cheesy ballad.
My guess is Ciara or Amerie or Gwen. Then again, Madonna is coming out with her album soon.
